7 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing – Lemosho Route
Overview
The 7-day Lemosho route provides a thrilling and rewarding trek, popular for its gradual ascent and superior acclimatization, making it more enjoyable and less strenuous than the shorter 6-day option. You’ll start your journey through lush forests, reaching Shira Camp 1 on the second day after a steady gain of 2,000 feet in altitude. Day three takes you to the secluded Moir Hut, perched at 13,800 feet, giving your body crucial exposure to higher altitudes and preparing you for the summit.
While the ascent from Barranco to Barafu and the challenging summit push are identical to the 6-day route, the extra day ensures a more comfortable pace and better readiness for the demanding final stretch. This itinerary strikes the perfect balance between adventure and preparation, allowing you to fully experience the mountain’s beauty while significantly improving your chances of a successful summit.
