Overview

The Marangu Route, often referred to as the ‘Coca-Cola’ or ‘tourist’ route, stands out as the shortest path to the summit. It offers the comfort of sleeping huts equipped with solar lights and cozy beds, making it the sole route to provide such amenities. These communal huts feature bunks furnished with sponge mattresses and pillows. Climbing groups worldwide gather in dining huts for shared meals. We are dedicated to assisting all our clients and climbers in reaching the summit successfully.

As you continue, the trail broadens, revealing picturesque hillsides until you arrive at Mandara Hut. En route, you will traverse the village of Marangu on the mountain's lower slopes before reaching the park gate to prepare for the ascent ahead. Your first afternoon's hike unfolds amidst the forest, with opportunities to spot colobus monkeys, culminating at Mandara Hut, a delightful cluster of A-frame huts nestled in a forest clearing.
