Set off on a thrilling 7-day adventure to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Rongai Route, a less-crowded and scenic path that approaches from the mountain’s northern side, near the Kenyan border. This route offers a more gradual ascent, providing great opportunities for acclimatization, wildlife spotting, and panoramic views of both Tanzania and Kenya.
The Rongai Route passes through diverse landscapes, including lush forests, heather moorlands, and high-altitude deserts, while giving you stunning vistas of the rugged Mawenzi Peak and Kilimanjaro’s glaciated summit.

Embark on your Kilimanjaro adventure as you meet your team and begin the trek from Nale Moru. Traverse through lush farmland and dense rainforest, gradually ascending into the moorland zone. Enjoy stunning views of the Kenyan plains as the forest clears, culminating in the dramatic landscapes of Simba Camp.

Ascend westward through captivating heath and moorland terrain. Pause for lunch at Second Cave, perched at 3450m, before continuing through dry river beds and rugged landscapes. Arrive at Kikelelwa Camp, where you'll be greeted by panoramic views of Kibo Peak and the expansive Kenyan plains.

Set out on a shorter yet exhilarating climb to Mawenzi Tarn Hut. The path offers occasional steep sections with spectacular views of the rugged, rocky terrain. As you hike through changing vegetation, from heath to resilient Everlastings, you'll reach Mawenzi Tarn Hut, surrounded by a dramatic mountainscape.

Tackle a steep ascent that flattens out as you cross the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. The landscape transforms into a barren, otherworldly moonscape. Kibo Hut, your final stop before the summit, awaits amidst this stark alpine desert.

Start your summit bid around midnight with a challenging climb from Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak. Navigate through volcanic scree, passing Hans Meyer Cave and Gilman’s Point, before reaching the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement and descend to Horombo Hut for a well-earned rest.

Descend from Horombo Hut through diverse landscapes, from the alpine desert back to lush rainforest. Enjoy scenic vistas and flora as you make your way to Mandara Hut for lunch before reaching Marangu Gate, where your victory certificate awaits.
